Great book. Used it to determine pitch etc. when building a shed roof.

I work as an exhibitions installer/fabricator for a fine arts museum. I recently purchased both Chenier's books, the Practical Math Application Guide and the Practical Math Dictionary as a personal enrichment/refresher course for construction math. I wish I'd known about these books 20 years ago! The way the concepts are explained and they way the books show practical applications for everyday construction problems using traditional tools is better than in any other books I've used. Follow them cover to cover from page 1, even if you already know the math, and work the problems in the tests. It'll refresh your memory and probably teach you some new and easy methods you weren't even aware of for problem solving. Since beginning practice two weeks ago, my dependence upon my construction calculator has diminished to near zero, and the speed and confidence with which I work has increased along with the accuracy and quality of the finished products I make. Thank you Chenier's for a truly great set of books!

Very well written

Was looking for book to teach measurement. I found it. Good referance on break down of lots of mathmatical stuff. The practical construction type mathmatics. Covers lots of items. No matter what kind of work or trade a person is doing information is universal.This is one of those books that break it down so you can refer to the information & be able to use in the feild. I belive that a young school aged child can learn from these methods easily.Author say's it in the begining of this book that what you get from this is up to the reader.

A must have for the shop.

This is hands down one of the most practical real life math books available. As a full time carpenter for 30 years, I've used solutions to problems illustrated in this book many times; and it's a great teaching aid to ones new to the trade. Worth keeping in the truck as a reference.

This was a hard read to complete. The grammar was extremely horrible, it pains me that no one proofread this book with a keen eye and an honest opinion. There were entirely too many grammar and punctuation errors.Further, the extreme details to unimportant factors were redundant such as, the food preparation and step by step details of what the characters were doing next..."Shay did...and then she...and then she...and then she". It made it difficult to get into the book.Yet, I enjoyed the plot, though it seemed a tad unrealistic.One positive, I absolutely loved the cover photo, it is beautiful.Although, I can appreciate the authors' efforts, unfortunately, I do not think I will risk reading from this author again, unless it is an effort to offer my free services to proofread before publication. Yes, I would be that kind of friend.

This book was a short read to me, had some bad grammar but still enjoyed the read it's so easy to get distracted by the devil if we don't say focused and that's exactly what happened to the couples in this book, but I liked they went for help. Liked what Shay said you can't allow others to think for you, some people will tell you to leave while their relationship is in more turmoil than yours. If you like good Clean reading with no profanity this is a good read

I loved how Brent fell in love with his wife all over again when it looked like all hope was lost in their marriage. But this would have never happened without them including God in their marriage.

This is really good. You could never predict what would happen next. You thought it would go one way and it went another. It shows that anything worth having is worth fighting for. Also, you have to put God first in your marriage.

Gave it a 3 rating because I disliked the fact that they were all cheating on each other for weak reasons.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It makes you wonder if males and females can really just be friends. I guess it depends upon the individuals.

This book shows what the power of God's love and the power of forgiveness can do. God received all the glory in this book. There is definitely room for a sequel. You write it, I'll read it.

This book kept interest until toward the end.It was about two marriages where both partners cheated.It also showed the consequences of it.I will advice anyone who is married or about to get married to read this book.

There's multiple horrible events that are the catalyst to her new life.The book is written flawlessly. I found very few editing errors. It's written from Calypso's point of view, and she is fascinated by the plant s, flowers, ground, the Korid on's, everything she's been sheltered from. The prose recognizes her awe and wonder...the words are always dreamy. You are transported to each scene."Lurking beneath the beautiful skin flush against mine, his chest heaving, he emanates raw viciousness. He is devastating dominance compacted into one flawless, towering form.'And this scene, pondering religion and life."Maybe where he’s from, that was their end of days. But from everything I’ve read and feel in my heart, there’s something else in store for us. I don’t know what, but there is more than we can see and what our sciences can explain. Religious works like the Bible and Koran come to mind, their pages written by men long ago who felt God guiding their hand. Books written at different times and in completely different places, yet still seem to have the answer for every question you could ask. There are a lot of brutal stories, too, but it taught the ones left after the annihilation important lessons as they rebuilt. I do feel something special about me. It’s in every breath and every joyful rush. We flesh and bone but also amazing and unique minds, love and invention. A living entity. Essence. A soul." Koridon's want Calypso to help repopulate their species. And Hessian is the lead of their crew. They are afraid of going extinct. What the author does well, is show just how similar the Korodons and the Earth people are. As Calypso falls deeper and deeper in love with Koridon, she discovers deeply hidden secrets that cause her to change how she thinks and what she values. Even when she is captured by a bad man, she asks questions. Calypso is a smart girl, and I love the way she absorbs text from books from "long ago" and ponders it as a true historian would.There is some difficult scenes, definitely non-con, and they are used to highlight Calypso's difficult journey ahead, and perhaps the hypocrisy of her people. They are not wasted scenes designed to titilate. The way Kassien took care of Calypso was gentle and I enjoyed their journey together.

Loved how she brought scifi into alien and human format. Showing how even though we are different that we still attract men of all forms. Truly enjoyed how our womanly scent made the alien men go crazy. Excited to read the next book in this series.

If you are into rape over and over again, this is the book for you, otherwise avoid this book like the plague.

This was an interesting take on a post-apocalyptic/alien invasion scenario and I enjoyed it, very much. The future is one where humans are hiding in small communities, their daily lives highly structured and restricted. Women, especially, are curtailed in their activities for fear of drawing the attention of the aforementioned aliens. Calypso has always keenly felt these restrictions and her differences from the rest of her group. She soon learns the cost of standing out from the crowd.This is the first book in what I hope will be an ongoing series, and it ends on a cliffhanger. The author has created a world ripe for expansion and I look forward to seeing where it goes, next.There are definitely triggers in this book (non-con and dub-con), so be aware.

This is my first book By C.F. Rabbiosi and I have to say that I am impressed. Ms. Rabbiosi managed to create a fresh and original story. The world building is outstanding. I felt like I was truly living in this beautifully crafted world alongside its characters. I love that Calypso is such a strong heroine despite the cards fate keeps dealing her. This story is full of twists that take the reader on quite a ride. There is a certainly a lot of brutality and violent content so this may not be the book for everyone. It might benefit from further editing, however, this did not take away from my enjoyment of the book.

I Loved it it was so different and original and if you like dark Dystopian with some violence and harsh scenes then this is the book for you the writing is great and in great detail of the characters and the world they are now in and had me hooked from page one. I really loved Calypso she was such an interesting character and a very strong willed woman with what she has to endure from these men, all the twists truths and lies along with Kassien and Brekter awwww I love them all I cant pick and Im so looking forward to the next one, I really cant wait.

Holy cow what did I just read! This book is usually not my genre that I usually read, but I am grateful I did.This book is based on a beautiful other world that the author built and made it so believable that I wanted to be there. Her characters were remarkable and sexy as hell. The sexiness and the hotness left me an emotional wreck.Great job! I am so ready for book two.

I absolutely loved this book. I'm starting to love sci-fi books more and more. Calypso is human or so she thought. The Koridon are another creature altogether and from a totally different world. Calypso is disfigured and does not consider herself beautiful, but all the men want her. She is going to marry Finn. Calypso is taken by the Koridon. The leader wants to mate with her to keep their kind alive. Calypso was told she can't bore children til she finds out the truth about herself. Will Calypso help the people of Koridon or will she run back home as fast as she can? This book was really intriguing to me.

Even more suspenseful is the fact that the fate of the boys is not subject to the whim of the author but, by the time of reading, had already played out in 1945. Based on my father's experience as a youth in World War II, 47 DAYS takes us into the last months of the war. The 'Reich' is crumbling, but Hitler frantically throws the last warm bodies into battle: old men, the injured and feeble, and all 15- and 16-year old boys. With the Allies and Russians spreading across German soil, it is a wasted effort. Hitler well knows it is too late and that the war is lost. But in his insane mind he justifies discarding the youth of the country. If Germany can't win, they can all go to hell.My father, Günter, and his best friend, Helmut, were among those teens, drafted in March 1945. They were told to travel 200 kilometers south to report to the Hitler Youth Office in Marburg and jointedly defend the fatherland. Without training, without weapons. My father and his friend decided it was a bad idea. They chose to think for themselves and disobey. The prize was their lives because being caught meant certain execution.At the time nobody knew how much longer the war would last. And so the task of hiding and eluding became a race for survival. Not to mention the turmoil Günter and Helmut must have felt every single day. Had they done the right thing? Would they get caught? Well, they almost did. And they almost died.I chose to publish this novelette separately because I wanted to share the conflict and threats these boys endured for disobeying orders. This is an exert of the book, Surviving the Fatherland. I ended up getting the book. I couldn't put it down. We were stationed in West Belin, Germany, in 1984-1987 and I thought I knew everything about the war. This shows the position of the average Germans in their villages as they struggled to survive the war. I knew nothing about them. I lumped everyone together, not realizing how non-Nazis lived and suffered. I highly recommend these books.

This book is a few chapters taken out of the book "Surviving the Fatherland." As I already ordered this book, "47 Days" was a waste of money. I should have read the previews more carefully. As its own story, 47 Days is entertaining but should not have been compiled as it is not complete and too short a read.

If you read surviving the fatherland you do not need this book. It's all in it. Surviving the fatherland is a must read

I recommend this book for schools it has to be remembered. This should never happen again! We must read to know the truth

I gave it three stars because I was expecting a book but it's only and excerpt and the print is really small. However it was interesting enough for me to want to read the actual book.
