Simone was an ass the first time around..trying to impress his family, he forgot the first cardinal rule..never fall for the mark. But fall he did..and when it was done, it was done. Unfortunately his heart did receive the message. When he bumps into Eden years later, he finds his young man feelings are still there, only bigger. Eden sees Simone and she can’t believe her eyes. He betrayed her and her family threatened her and her dad..how could she possibly think of giving him another chance. She can’t dictate what her body says, but will she ever be able to trust him again..and when danger finds her..will they ever see their happily ever after?I’m new to this author, but I enjoyed the book. The 2 guys who worked at the store were a bit of a distraction, but otherwise, I liked the secondary characters. Wish we had more story on Linus and his vendetta to explain things. I do secretly wonder why Eden would get involved with the DeSerra clan as crazy as they are, but the heart knows what it knows. Simone has an evil streak that I’m sad to say, I thoroughly enjoyed. The lengths he would go to just for the family was one thing, what he did and was prepared to do for Eden was hot as hell.I want to know more about the DeSerra brothers and maybe even Smalls. Hopefully there is more where this came from.
I love reading who done it stories and this one did not disappoint. Eden Noble and Simone De Sera broke up years ago because of Simone's sketchy family business. Simone's relationship turned into something he was not expecting to happen. In the process, he broke Eden's heart. Years had past and they both moved on with their lives, or had they. They never really forgot about each other. With their unexpected meeting in Eden's Garden store, Simone was determined not to let her get away again despite the promises he made to his uncle, the Don of the family. Simone kept one crucial detail from Eden and turned out to be his undoing and threw Eden into the path of an unexpected and unknown enemy of her father.I just knew the ex wife had something to do with the predicament Eden was in. I was shocked to find out that it had nothing to do with the De Sera family. One never knows when an enemy will come back to bite you. But in this case, they found out that revenge is best served as a road paved straight to hell. Don't stand between a made man and the woman he loves and getting his HEA with her. You will lose every time. This was a good read.
I have read a few of her stories,this one was a good read with the up and downs. Running into each other after breaking up years ago.The story line wasn’t bad but Donnal as her go to when things got bumpy got on my nerves. He was crushing on her so playing that just making Simone jealous â˜¹ï¸ Adult women don’t play games like that. The end rolled up on you fast one minute she is running for her life when she then gets rescued. Next they are in the church. The end.88% story over.
Simone DeSera part of the mafia family who was dating Eden Noble daughter of an FBI agent who was giving his family a hard time with their business. Simone and Eden had a platonic romance when they were young which resulted in Eden leaving him when they used her as a pawn against her father in order for him to turn his back on government information. Years later Simone is working for the governor office while still getting pet projects passed in order to help his family business with at times using a strong arm. They meet again and the chemistry is still there, however, he has an estranged wife Lynnette who is half nuts and a family who really doesn't believe in divorce. The godfather had promised Mr. Noble that his nephew would leave his daughter alone for helping them with getting rid of government information. There is a lot of family dynamics played in this story with some hostility again each other and some backstabbing.
Loved Eden, so happy her and Simone found each other again after so many years. Simone is from a mafia family. Several years ago Eden's father an FBI agent was digging in to Simone's family businesses. Eden was threatened by the family, Simone could not hurt her physically but he did hurt her mentally. This book has crazy ex-wife, kidnapping, attempted murder, and an overprotective Alpha..
I loved reading Simone and Eden's story. These men when they find that one woman they love, they love them fiercely, and very protective of them. And I love them for that. This was a very good story, with that said I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoy reading a good story about giving love a second chance,it also had a bit of drama in a good way, not that crazy kind. I think you will enjoy reading all the stories on this family. Great job Niya thank you and please keep these stories coming.
Simone and Eden are a wonderful pair. This story had it all: good chemistry between Eden & Simone (both with strong personalities), a good plot, solid secondary characters and hot sex.The storyline was engaging and came to an expected conclusion without being trite and sappy. Very good!
So intense and on the edge reading. Eden nd Simone have a very very interesting relationship. Drama, hot, twists and unconditional love. First book by this author and can’t wait to read the next book. Great book. Must have in the library.
